About Lodi

A popular northern San Joaquin County city, not many people feel as if they're "Stuck In Lodi", the lyrics of a song made popular by Creedence Clearwater Revival in the early 1970's.

Known as the "Zinfandel Capital of the World", Lodi is long known throughout the Central Valley for it's wine production, home to Lodi's own Robert Mondavi's Woodbridge Winery. The Mondavi Winery is widely considered one of the most influential in the American wine industry. The brands popularity has spawned many smaller wineries in the Lodi area, making Lodi's wine reputation a close competitor to its neighbors in Napa and Sonoma Counties.

Each year Lodi's 62,134 residents celebrate its heritage with the Lodi Grape and Harvest Festival, Taste of Lodi and Zinfest. Lodi is also home to community theatre. Hutchins Square Square Theater is home to the renowned Lodi Musical Theater Company.

Lodi is also the innovator of the fast food restaurant. A&W Root Beer started in Lodi in 1919 and opened their first hamburger stand in 1921.

From wine to root beer and all things in between, Lodi offers a unique Central Valley experience for the entire family to enjoy.
